Don’t Let Your Dreams Die Inside…

From Daydream to Transformation in 3 simple steps…

Dreaming isn’t just for sleep.

In fact, we dream all day long.

When we ‘awake’ dream, we are activating the brain’s Default Mode Network (DMN).

The Default Mode Network refers to the brain regions that are more active during a resting state. If you will, it’s our ‘default mode’ of brain function. Conversely, when we engage in specific attention-focused tasks, DMN is less engaged and instead the Task Positive Network (TPN) becomes more active.

As far back as 1929, German psychiatrist Hans Berger argued that our brain is continuously working, even when we are at rest. While his ideas weren’t taken seriously at the time, recent advancements in neuroscience point to the credibility of Berger’s theory.

In fact, the term “default mode” wasn’t coined until 2001 when neurologist Marcus E. Raichle confirmed that the brain’s energy consumption only increases slightly (by 5%) when it switches from a resting state to active tasks.

This ‘awake dreaming’, often called daydreaming, is an extremely important activity.

This is the time you reflect, ponder and imagine the future. Because the brain is at rest and you aren’t focusing on external tasks, you are able to access heightened creativity, fresh insights and new approaches.

But it doesn’t stop there…

Because your active dreaming triggers the visual circuits in your brain, you can now go one step further to imagine in detail exactly what your dreams will look like.

Once you have visualized the shape, form and texture of those initially vague dreams, the logical next step is to take those visuals in your head and record them.

You can ‘capture’ your ideas in a collage, a mind map or vision board. Putting your thoughts down on paper will not just give your vision further shape, it will also ignite your creative energy.

This energy will inspire you to take small action steps, moving you ever closer to what you want in your life.

This is a step-by-step breakdown of the process.

  1. Take time for awake dreaming.

  2. Turn those musings into visual images, recording them as a mind map, vision board or collage.

  3. Use these physical visualizations to inspire you to take small action steps towards your dream.

From daydream to manifestation in 3 simple steps.

The life you have always desired can begin as an ethereal daydream, if you let it.

Don’t let your dream die inside.

Instead, nurture them, visualize them and take action.

Through the insights of neuroscience, we now know that your brain is there to help you every step of the way.

If you would like to talk about the best way to transform your dreams into reality, let’s talk.
